Sew Original - Winston-Salem, NC

Meet Shirley Bailey the owner of Sew Original

I have never witnessed such an enthusiastic
group of employees as in this shop. While I
showed samples and patterns there
was a lot of oohhhing and aahhhing, some
squealing, and a lot of volunteering to make samples!
Fantastic! I can only assume they serve their
customers as enthusiastically!

Here is one of the stitching groups in a classroom

Meet Aimee Griffin, shop owner

I loved the feel of this shop when I entered it,
fresh and welcoming. And it didn't hurt that
Aimee greeted me by name as I entered through
the door. She said she recognized me because,
she had already been following
this blog!

Check out the wide range of gorgeous quilts below.

Golf day today

I played golf today. For more info on this NC course visit my golf blog.

The Preacher and His Wife

OK, so Bonnie and Dave had four kids. (My cousins) Kris, Kathy, Laurie and Scott. And of course they had kids and grandkids. All of them live in the Walnut Cove area. I had not seen some of them in 40 years! Below is my cousin Kris (left) she is a singer-song writer, DJ, and graphic artist. She and her music partner Doug, were kind enough to give us a private house concert! aka Wright Avenue Ramblers. It was sooooo great! So much talent! I had no idea! Wish I had a video to share instead of these photos.

Thanks Chris! You are fantastic and I want a CD!
